Saturday 31st March - Awards Dinner at Steventon House Hotel, Abingdon, to welcome among the attendees as many of the previous Chairmen and committee as possible for this special 25th anniversary event. Awards to include AWC Centre Member of the Year. Contact Brian Moylan 01235 531384.

Sunday 22nd April - St George's Day Run, well the day before actually, so that you can all make it. Start location TBA. Get those flags unfurled (no not the EU things thank you). Sunday 6th May - Special 25th Anniversary Abingdon Works Car Show at Abingdon Air and Country Show. A show within a show and something for everyone on the ground and in the air. Contact Greg Smith 01844 351418.

The following two events are part of A WEEKEND IN ABINGDON timed to allow attendance at both these events plus the opportunity to be present at the official opening of an MG Museum at the Old County Hall Museum in the heart of Abingdon.

Saturday 26th May - The Abingdon Works Forum. A special event commemorating 25th anniversary of AWC with many of the works employees there to tell you the nitty gritty about perhaps the most famous sports car factory ever. Tickets £5 each from Brian Moylan - 01235 531384.

Sunday 27th May - The Old Speckled Hen Run - back in full strength with the original and well known title along with another class run to maintain the flavour! Contact Mike Parker 01235 525255. Click here to download an entry form.

Thursday 21st June - A special pre-Silverstone Dinner held at an Oxford College close to where the MG story began. This will be an opportunity to sit down with friends in great surroundings, especially as there is no dinner organised at Silverstone this year. Contact Richard Martin 01235 529331.

Friday-Sunday 22/23/24th June - MG Silverstone. Celebrate 25 years of the Centre on our stand in the main marquee and we shall be organising the Event Gymkhana for everyone's enjoyment once again. MGCC 01235 555552

Saturday & Sunday 18/19th August - Centre Tour. To celebrate the 25th year we shall organise a two day event based on a tour around some of the scenic geography of this beautiful part of England. Sunday 30th September - Chairman's Run to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, or Chairmen's Run as you will join many of the ex Chairmen of AWC for this fine round off of the special anniversary celebrations. Contact Richard Martin 01235 529331.Download a leaflet/entry form: Word | PDF .

Sunday 14th October - visit to the History on Wheels Museum. Join AWC for a day out at this unique collection of motors, militaria and memories at Eton Wick, Windsor. Download a leaflet/entry form: Word | PDF.

Thursday 25th October - AWC Annual General Meeting, at The Dog House Hotel, Frilford Heath. Contact Bob Foster 01256 328669.

Wednesday 26th December - Boxing Day Run. This is the 14th Run and starts from the newly re-surfaced Market Square (as usual). Meet between 09.30 and 10.00 with cars departing from 10.30. Due to the revamped square the limit will be 50 cars and there will be a £5 charge per car this year that will go to Centre Funds and cover the ever rising cost of MSA approval that is arranged for all our main events. The Run will finish at The Dog House at Frilford Heath and if you would like to eat lunch there you are requested to arrange this beforehand by contacting the Hotel direct on 01865 390830. Other MGCC Events

Thursday 24th May to Monday 28th May - European MG Event of 2007 in Speyer nr. Heidelberg, Germany. For full information and registration see the German MGCC site at www.mgcc.de

Friday 6th July to Sunday 15th July - "MG by the Beautiful Blue Danube". MG Italia are organising an event called "MG by the Beautiful Blue Danube", starting in Salzburg on Friday 6th July 2007 and visiting famous towns like Steyr, Graz and Vienna in Austria, then crossing into Hungary to visit Budapest and also the famous wine-growing area around Lake Balaton. All accommodation is in four-star hotels and the event finishes back in Salzburg on Sunday 15th July. The total distance covered on the event will be 800miles (1300Km) and the organiser’s attention to detail includes coach tours of the towns and cities visited, plus the provision of a two-tier car carrier so that in the event of mechanical problems no MG will be left behind. Sunday 15th July - Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby. Organised by the Lincolnshire Centre, the event starts at 11.30am, and is open to MGs whose owners are members of the MGCC. Weekend 3rd-5th August - MGFest. Organised by the F Register and to be held at Billing Aquadrome, Northamptonshire. Arrival from Friday evening, Road runs and BBQ with bands on Saturday. Sunday based on the field and including skill driving tests, POO and challenges. There will be a celebration marking 5 years of the MG TF. All types of MGs are welcome. Sunday 12th August - Summer Gathering. Organised by the South East Centre, the venue will be Cobham Hall School in Kent, which is a very historic and large house which will be open. They are also running a Concours, POO, driving tests and probably a Gymkhana. Contact the South East Centre here.

Sunday 2nd September - September Road Run to Coughton Court. Organised by the Midget Register. Following the usual format of starting from the steam railway centre at Toddington, and following an interesting 78 mile route through the Cotswolds and surrounding countryside, this years late summer event visits the stunning National Trust property at Coughton Court near Alcester. Non-MGCC Events

Sunday May 6th - Brightwalton Village Fete. There's a small but eclectic classic car show as part of the fete from 12.00 to 4.00, all classic cars are welcome, and entry is free. Brightwalton is just south of Wantage. Cars are welcome just to turn up on the day, although letting us know in advance helps as we can make sure we have enough room in the field! Sunday 9th September - British Cars Enthusiasts Rally 2007. The event is held at Wicksteed Park, Northamptonshire and is open to all marques with a British heritage, entry £6 per car, payable on the day. Organised by brit-cars.com
