History: Sid was one of 752 Jubilees produced to celebrate 50 years of MG in 1975. All Jubilees were British Racing Green had large gold decals with an MG logo. They had gold painted v8 wheels and a v8 steering wheel to match. All the usual chrome side mouldings were body colour and the mirrors and wipers were black too. The Jubilee was the first MG to have full carpets and it had all the usual optional extras as standard. All Jubilees were supposed to have a Jubilee number, in the form of a dash plaque in gold, with its number and first owner's name. Very few Jubilees have plaques as these were delivered separately to dealers for engraving. If there is no plaque, sadly there is no way to ever find out its unique number as it seems to have been done randomly and has nothing to do with chassiss number, engine or build numbers. Today there are about 200 surviving Jubilees. We brought Sid in a sorry state, but as he was sound we decided to restore him, which we have now done. He has had most of him changed for the better, all kept original, which has taken a lot of sourcing and money but we got there. Sid is a part of MG history.
