History: I purchased my Platinum Silver F secondhand in 1998, it being a one previous owner, low mileage example. The need for PAS, following heart surgery making this necessary, followed by the reluctant sale of my MGB GT which I believe still happily remains the property of a MGCC Member. Little did I know that, not too long after, a power steering modification kit would become available for the MGB.

Fortunately it has been relatively trouble free, but suffered the dreaded HGF (head gasket failure) in May 2000, but remains relatively standard. To improve gear changing however, the Techspeed modication was carried out, and EBC Grooved Discs with Greenstuff Brake Pads were fitted to the front end. More of a cosmetic nature, TF Type replacement seats were fitted in August last year, to improve driver/passenger comfort.

In the not too distant future, a replacement hood will become necessary, when I will take the opportunity to have fitted a BAS Sportster Hood with heated rear window.
