I had test-driven a number of RV8s over the years, and not found one I liked well enough to buy.  Colour for me is an important factor on an RV8 – I wanted either Oxford Blue (preferably) or Nightfire Red, so when I saw this car advertised, I went to see and test it. It ticked all the right boxes, so I went ahead with the purchase – the registration number, already fitted, was a bonus!! It was originally a Japanese export model with air con (working!), re-imported in 2004, and has 38k miles.

Since the boot is full of spare wheel, I have fitted a boot rack to make it more practical, and a Perspex windstop to make it more comfortable.  As purchased, it was fitted with a single box sports exhaust, which, while it sounded great, was a bit tiring on long journeys, so I changed it for a standard 2-box system.  The other mod on the to-do list is to fit electric power steering at some stage so the wife can drive it!
