2012 Steamy Day Out
The Steamy Day Out lived up to its name with the sun shining full strength and the heat coming as quite a shock as the winter finally retreated. Sunday 25th May saw the Abingdon Works Centre visiting the Mid Hants Railway, more familiarly know as the Watercress Line, named after its main job of taking watercress from the growing beds of the Itchen Valley to the main line at Alton. Over 40 cars parked at Alresford Station, with several departing for our overspill parking at Ropley Station, where people could bask in the sun in the picnic area.
