2014 Wanderers July Natter
The Works Centre Wanderers enjoyed another fun day in the sun on Wednesday 16th July. After a short tulip run they ended up at the Eight Bells at Eaton, Oxfordshire where they were joined by a visiting group from Cornwall’s South Hams Natter, who were in Oxfordshire for a few days. After lunch the landlord joined in the fun by teaching the group how to play Aunt Sally. As this is an Oxfordshire past-time, the visitors were fascinated by what appeared to be an easy sport. Sadly for them, they were proved wrong when the inter-Natter competition left them the losers, albeit by the final throw! Not to be put off, they are already planning another trip for next year, when the return match will be top of the agenda.
The Works Centre Wanderers meet on the third Wednesday of each month during the day and move around the Abingdon Works Centre. Please check the AWC Events Calendar for details of their next Natter or contact Gill Martin on 07717478826.
